My Unpublished Life Chapter 1

It is those little things you remember when you were four to five years old. For me it was running around dressing up like Robin Hood or a Ninja Turtle. Or it could have been living my carefree life learning how to ride my bike like the wind (I will still never forget my favorite memory of my mother teaching me how to ride a bicycle for the very first time). I was an innocent kid playing in the treehouse that my dad built for me. I remember when I became rebel against my father because I got mad at him and "ran away". I carried what few items that I could only make it 50 yards to this electrical building next to our house (yeah, I was real rebel alright).

Some of my best memories were my childhood memories. Those memories took place in the small town of Newberry, Michigan where my family and I use to live. It was located in the upper Peninsula where the temperature got cold and snow was bad every winter. Though I remember the fall was the worst part of living there. The reason why was so bad was that we had such a huge yard our family had to rake so many leaves (just think of having a yard that resembles half of a football field and having to rake it every fall).

Now fall is my favorite time of the year and winter is my least favorite time of the year. But when I lived in Michigan as a kid winter was really fun because I got to build snow forts with my sister that were almost hot as high as our mailbox. If I were to live there during the winter now I could easily seeing myself getting bored. I think it always helped to have an imagination as a kid, but for some reason I feel like I lost it the older I got.

I will never forget the friends I made at the church that my dad preached at in Newberry (luckily enough with Facebook I still keep in touch with them). That group of friends will never be replaced. In fact to add to this trip down memory lane I will say one of the girls in our group of friends was my first kiss (no one should ever forget their first kiss). I even saw my first movie at the theatre with my dad in that small town of Newberry. As far as I can remember my first film was the original nineteen ninety nine "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" (to this day I love this film).

It can be hard to let go of the good times we have in the past, but it can still be a staple memory in our minds. I will never be able to relive my positive childhood in Newberry, but that does not mean I can not revisit it. I hope to soon one day take a trip back to that town of many exciting times. The times where my adulthood did not corrupt my innocent childhood mind.

I got Warped!

So yesterday was one of the best days of this summer that I've had! I got to join 2 of my friends Jake and Lacey on the trip to Cincinnati at Riverbend Music Center to see some of my favorite bands at this year's "Vans Warped Tour 2014" (their 20th anniversary). It was a blast getting to meet the bands I've been following for years like "Saves The Day," "Less Than Jake," & "Bowling For Soup." I also got into some new bands such as "For Today" and met them too.

All around the day was a fun filled event and it made me realized I need take the time to go out and see more concerts. The only problem I always run into is "money!" But I need to quit being stubborn and go out and look consistently for a better job so I have money. On another note I've never been in such a crazy mosh pit as I was in for when "Enter Shikari" played. A great new UK band I will now start listening to. All out I loved listening to new bands and scoring a free pair of journeys sun glasses (which I needed) at Warped this year.

On another note besides enjoying my summer I wanted to share that I met a woman who I now have been talking to for about a week in a half and we've continued to hit it off well. I just want to continue to stay in that happy moment. As my favorite band "Incubus" say's , "don't let life pass you by." Zac
